Second opinions are considered standard practice by most medical professionals, yet many patients feel that seeking another opinion is a betrayal of their current doctor or an expression of a lack of confidence in him or her. Remember that knowledge is power. Empowering yourself and your loved ones will put the control over your health and medical care in your hands. No one will be a better advocate for your care than you are!
