You’ve just been diagnosed with a neurological condition which requires surgical intervention. This is not something you thought would ever happen to you or your family and quickly becomes overwhelming. As the surgeon gives you details about the procedure your mind drifts off  to how you are going to discuss this with your family.

We understand this can be an overwhelming process and hope to reduce your stress by providing our Barrow Patient Surgical Guide. This guide has been created to provide you with information about your surgical treatment. The information is intended to address many of the questions, concerns, and expectations that you may have while in the hospital. We hope that this information helps reduce any anxieties that you may be feeling.

At Barrow, we pride ourselves on our family focused approach and believe that it is essential for you and your family to actively participate in your care. Along with the surgeons and nurses, you are an integral part of the decision-making team. We appreciate your confidence in our team and thank you for choosing to have your treatment at Barrow.

Regards, Maggie Bobrowitz, RN, MBA
